A parable about some farmers....

Once upon a time there were some farmers. One was a Master farmer who had attained all knowledge of farming and the others were just his servants.

One servant did not have that much seed. He just kept sowing what little he had. Each time he sowed, he got more and more seed. He saw how it increased. So, he seldom ate any seed. The Master farmer saw him, drove out to him on a tractor and said, "Use this now." So he began using that. Yet he still did not eat much of anything and just kept planting the seeds....

The other servant had more seed than the first. He already had enough to eat some. So he figured he could sit down and take lunch. Then he sowed once and he ate some of his harvest. Next time he ate more of it than he sowed. For he had little to eat. He saw the Master farmer drive out on the tractor and thought, "Good, he is bringing me something else." Yet the Master farmer drove past to the other field. So the servant threw his hoe down and had a lil' temper tantrum. You might say that he did the hoe down. For the injustice of it all! He went and got a sandwich. It did not seem to taste so good now.

So the other servant was still planting seeds and not eating much of anything. He was really planting and harvesting now. More and more....in fact, he could have eaten more if he wanted to. Yet, he seemed to have grown to like just planting and planting on his new tractor. For it was more fun now. Then the Master farmer drove out on a bigger tractor with a GPS system in it. He told his new planter, "Here, come back to the house and use a computer there for this. For I have some other things for you to do." So they road back to the house and the planter just programmed the tractor to drive around. He had liked driving it all around the fields but now it was time to go. The Master farmer said, "I have some blueprints and things about going to other planets to farm that you might like to read. I will make some things and you can read about it for now. Later, we may do even more together."

The other servant saw them driving away and he threw his hoe down again. Then he ate his last peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

As far as the hoedown, if the country refuses to meet the city with all its technology then this Republic is done. The red and the blue states, etc...there will always be less and less country. Burke noted that the religious veneration and prescription between and moderating Rightism and Leftism tends to die on the hard city streets. Well, it is time for an update. For it is Leftism that is typical now. So you can throw your hoe down and rebel against insight offered from new things, in new ways and the science of things. In a way, you will be left with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I think I will write some more parables about this sandwich.
