Nietzsche or Anti-Nietzsche? Do not mind me!
Technical bluff!People are more empathetic to others who are not only geographically closer to home, but also racially, culturally and economically closer to home as well. It's human nature. The author of this video wants to believe that technique transcends that little evil tendency, doesn't he? That just because we have the technical means to know what goes on in other parts of the world, that it somehow equates to the same human relationships to the people we see and interract with every day. But until the evolving hive mind can effectively control or eliminate that aspect of human nature, such will continue to be the case. The ultimate property of the hive mind (the evolving singularity?) mandates that I feel just as angered at some woman I don't know in Tanzania being raped as I would my own wife. When the glorious whole of the human experience is mediated by technique, what's the difference? When one stands atop the tower of Babel, everyone below looks the same (even though I can't reach out and touch any one of them - at least not without some sort of technical thingamajig).I tune out, therefore I am!Mike
