Humans, we always seem to be trying to catch up with governing our own techniques and technologies. It's like a little window into why the Creator doesn't send angels or let us have more nice things than we already do (note the technology in use in your body.) Perhaps more nice things like like life extending technologies, the ability to resurrect children (Those that survived abortion and the profiteering of their parents.), etc.
Maybe we're left to our own devices and trying to catch up to our own technologies sometimes because it's not really all about technique. Maybe it's more about different forms of consciousness "in spirit and in truth" and physical techniques merely follow and symbolize that fundamental reality.
