The Democrat's war, they lie and people die.

[W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his contin ued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003(Link)

There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.
Sen. Jay Rockerfeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction.
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons...
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

And so on. Note that unlike Bush they will not admit their mistakes, instead they will argue that Bush somehow tricked them and manipulated the intelligence. That's yet another conspiracy theory which is much more conspiratorial and difficult to accomplish than it sounds. Note how the scripts won't line up (Geek alert...) I was watching C-Span (...alert...) a while back during the Bolton hearings and the Democrats were trying to use this script that he pressured agents that sift intelligence because of an incident in which he yelled at one. The Democrats made a big deal about how Collin Powell had come down and told every agent to do their job and not worry about any pressures, and the leader of the intelligence agency testified rather vociferously that he would never allow his agents to be pressured and so on. Yet supposedly Bush went down there and manufactured himself some intelligence because he just wanted to have a war, although everyone knew that Saddam would be just fine and dandy if left alone. I suppose this has to do with the ignorance and mental retardation typical to the MTV generation. There has to be some basis for the Democrats figuring that the American people will believe basically any conspiracy theory. They've lost more than a few elections, yet they keep going back over the same things, over and over. It's like they can't accept the cognitive dissonance of it all. By can't accept, I mean that apparently they'll come up with conspiracy theories that don't even match scripts that they were operating by just a few short months ago, which are impossible anyway.

It's odd, yes war is bad but that does not justify using any means to any end. It's little wonder that these people did not win an election, even as a war began to go bad. It's a good thing they didn't because for all the rhetoric they would be much more incompetent about it. Then the morale of the troops would probably go in the toilet given the "pansie effect" of Democratic leadership right at the time when they're trying to fight a difficult war under leadership from a Vietnam protestor. Who came up with that idea on the Left?
